Existing addition to the rear of a '20s residence in San Francisco was oddly proportioned and a closet along the back wall blocked access to the back yard.
We opened the room to the rear of the house by removing the existing closet and adding a new door and windows. We also added a large window which brought in lots of natural light.
A bathroom was added and paired with new closets to create a new hall that connected the new master suite to the rest of the house. Wood floors were maintained and new trim matched existing in order to make the new space feel like an integral part of the house.
